Poster Printing Policies

REQUIREMENTS

Poster (or plotter) printing is a service provided by the University Library for currently enrolled and currently employed faculty and staff at UTRGV for academic purposes. Academic purpose is defined as:

  • Course-related posters
  • Conference, symposium and research presentation posters

To verify enrollment or employment users must present their own valid UTRGV ID in person when picking up the poster.

Users must also provide the following information:

  • Course number or conference name
  • Instructor or faculty name
  • School Email & ID
  • Phone Number
  • Campus on which to print

SIZING

Enrolled students, faculty, and staff are allowed four linear feet of plotter printing per semester at no charge. Users may choose to print one of the following options each semester:

  • ONE 36 x 48" poster
  • TWO 24 x 36" posters

PAPER TYPE

Only one type of plotter paper is available: HP Coated Paper

TIMING

Printing is completed on a first-come, first-served basis. Please check the Poster Printing Schedule for availability. Users should print their posters at least 24-48 hours or 2 business days ahead of their presentation or project deadline, as printing can be a time-intensive process. The library and its staff are not responsible for missed exhibit or project deadlines.

REPRINTS

Users requesting a poster be reprinted due to errors that are a consequence of their work (e.g., typos, color not appearing as expected, poor quality images, pixelation, etc.) are required to pay for their reprint.
