The UTRGV Library uses the Library of Congress call number system. You can browse the bookshelves at the library to find materials on a number of different subjects.

Interlibrary Loan allows faculty, staff, and students to order materials from other libraries outside of UTRGV. Users can request books, articles, and other resources. To make an Interlibrary Loan patrons need to go this URL https://utrgv.illiad.oclc.org/illiad/. Once on the webpage users need to log in using their UTRGV Username and Password. The same information you use to get on Blackboard.
Once the patron has been logged in there will be a short form to fill out which will give the ILL department contact information. After the form has been filled out the user can use the left-hand tool bar to request material.
After the user puts in their request through ILL they will receive an email when the book or other material is available at the UTRGV Library circulation desk.
You can use the library's main website www.utrgv.edu/library to locate books that are available for check out.
In order to look for books first change Search for... to Search Library Catalog.
Once you have the search box set you can type in a title, author, or even a subject to start finding books. Just select the search icon after inputting the information you want to search for.
That will give you a list of books and other resources. The location(s) or link to find/access the resource will be listed with the material.
Undergraduate and graduate students can borrow a book for up to 30 days. Doctoral students and faculty can check out a book for up to 120 days. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Research and Instruction (researchandinstruction@utrgv.edu / 956-665-3331 / 956-882-7505).
