There are several types of MLA in-text citations. 

 

Author’s Name in Text - Paraphrase

Smith has argued that MLA citations are not that different than APA citations (283-85).

 

Author’s Name in Reference - Paraphrase

Authors’ Name in Text - Paraphrase
