The Writing Center is dedicated to assisting UTRGV students of all disciplines in all stages of the writing process with the ultimate goal of making students more efficient communicators, critical thinkers, and independent learners. Our CRLA-trained peer tutors of various academic backgrounds actively engage students to achieve the following goals:

To generate ideas at all stages of the writing process

To gain a better understanding of content and structure

To effectively research topics by using reliable resources and correctly formatting citations

To provide convenient access to writing tutoring (face-to-face, Skype, or online)
