Catalog Search Tips - Limit Search to Specific Subject

In the advanced search page of the catalog click on the "Subject" tab, then enter the subject terms.


 

Catalog Search Tips - Searching for People

To find works by a person, select "Author" from the drop down menu and type in the last name of the person.  To narrow the search further, add a few letters from the person's first name.

To find works about a person, select "Subject" from the drop down menu and type in the last name of the person.  To narrow the search further, add a few letters from the person's first name.

Catalog Search Tips - Limit Search to Specific Media

The "Advanced Search" feature allows you to limit your search to scores, audio, or video.  

From the "Material Type" dropdown list select: "Printed Music," "Sound Record," or "Videos-DVDs-Films" in order to limit the search to scores, audio recordings, or video.

 

 

 

Journal Search Tip

From the library's catalog page, click on "Journals."

Enter the title or a portion of the title in the search box and click on "Search."
