Follow the directions below:

Note:  Only students enrolled in current semester, current employees, and those with an active guest or sponsored account can access the campus WIFI network.

1. Go to Settings, and select Wi-Fi.
2. Select eduroam from the list of available networks.
3. Complete the following:

• • Identity: Enter your full UTRGV email address
  • Anonymous identity: Leave blank*
  • Password: Your UTRGV password
  • Touch Connect

If you have difficulty connecting, check the other available fields to ensure they have the proper settings:

• • Network SSID: eduroam
  • Security: 802.1x Enterprise
  • EAP method: PEAP
  • Phase 2 authentication: MSCHAPV2
  • Identity: Enter your full UTRGV email address
  • Anonymous identity: Leave blank*
  • Password: Your UTRGV password

If your phone has additional fields to fill, you may leave them blank.

*Note: Some phones may require for you to type the UTRGV username again in the Anonymous Identity field.

Some phones require you to enter your credential storage password after every reboot to reconnect to the network. To do this, follow these instructions:

1. Go to Settings, and select Wi-Fi settings.
2. Select eduroam network.
3. You will be prompted to enter your credential storage password. This is not your UTRGV password. This password was setup during the phone's initial setup.
4. After entering this password successfully click on the Connect button.
